DAY 1. Welcome to our exciting tour of the historic area of Bogotá! We will begin our day by picking you up at your hotel and heading to the heart of the historic city center. We'll head into the cobblestone streets of La Candelaria to visit the Botero Museum, which houses an impressive collection of works by renowned Colombian artist Fernando Botero. We will continue our tour to the Casa de la Moneda, a historical monument that will transport us to Colombia's colonial past, and then we will marvel at the cultural wealth of the García Márquez Cultural Center. To culminate our cultural exploration, we will visit the famous Gold Museum, where you will discover the fascinating history of Colombia's ancient indigenous civilizations through its impressive collection of gold artifacts. Then we will go to Monserrate and enjoy Bogotá from the heights.
DAY 2. The route for this day is 120 km. We'll start in Cajicá and from there Zipaquirá, Alto del Zipa (6K average slope of 6.5%), Alto Paramo del Aguila (17 K ascend, average slope 5 degrees) Pacho, (25K descend) Alto del Aguila (ascend 25k average slope 8 degrees) , descend to Zipaquirá, and return to Cajica.
Elevation at the start point 2,650 meters and 3,300 at the highest point.
DAY 2. In the evening we’ll do a tour in the Salt Mine of Zipaquira, we’ll visit the The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá (Spanish: Catedral de Sal de Zipaquirá) an underground Roman Catholic church built within the tunnels of a salt mine 200 metres (660 ft) underground. The mine has other underground attractions the make this an unique experience.
DAY 3.This day will be more relaxing starting in Cajica, continuing to San Jorge and Alto de Canicas, we'l go to Subachoque for a desert or snack and return to Cajica. We'll end the day in a Celebration in the restaurant Andres Carne de Res.l
